June 2009 Dear Pastor and Praying Friends, What a month of May we experienced! We went on a trip to Honduras to meet Abigail’s and Isabel’s doctors. We also went to look for a house when we move there. We accomplished all those goals, but towards the end of the trip we became ill. We ate something that gave us a bacterial infection in the colon. We returned to Costa Rica to finish up our language studies. After being home for two weeks, we went to the doctor and he was very concerned. He prescribed some medicine in hopes of getting rid of the infection. He also scheduled another visit two weeks later. Abigail went to her appointment and the doctor thought it would be best to admit her to the hospital. She was admitted to the hospital for 5 days. Praise the Lord that we had insurance and only paid twenty percent of the total hospital bill. We are also thankful that the baby inside her was not harmed at all. The doctor said it could have easily been worse. I believe this was because of the prayers of God’s people. We are also thankful for all the encouraging words that people sent us through email. Right now we are finishing up our language studies in Costa Rica and then we move to Honduras on July 27, 2009. This is a very exciting time for us. We can now live in the country that God has called us. We have enjoyed being in Costa Rica to study the language, but are looking to living in Honduras. When we get to Honduras, Abigail is going to have the baby and there are a number of other important things that we need to have accomplished. Also please pray for the expenses needed in order to stay in Honduras. I am so very thankful for each of you and also for your continued prayers and support. . Your missionaries to Honduras, |
